Typically 30 minutes. Patients will receive a provisional letter from IDPH which is your temporary cannabis card for the first 90 days. You will receive this letter after your visit(s) with the doctor. Your actual medical cannabis card arrives 90 days later.
In-Person Visits are unavailable at this time. Physicians will resume In-person visits when the time is right and everyone is safe from Covid-19.
You will need a valid Illinois state ID or DL for your appointment.
If your current address is NOT on your ID or DL, you must have one piece of mail with the current address to go along with the ID or DL. If you have an "out of state ID/DL" you will need 1 proof of residency for Illinois to go with your ID/DL.
Veterans also need a DD-214. SSDI patients will need their statement of benefits. All patients will need a debit or credit card to pay IDPH the yearly cardholder fee. Lastly, you will need access to your email address to verify your IDPH account.
MCD staff will never ask you for your social security number. Your certifying physician will need the last four digits of your social in order to certify you for the program. Failure to provide the last four of your social accurately will result in a denial by the state of Illinois.
Commercial drivers license holders, police officers, probation officers and school bus drivers. Federal employees.
Depending on your condition, your certification is valid for 3 years up to a lifetime. Physicians have the option to certify a lifelong condition. You must follow up and maintain your relationship with your physician or your certification may be cancelled or revoked by them. You also must pay a state fee every year no matter how long your certification is valid.
Anxiety on its own does not qualify. However, you may be suffering from anxiety due to an underlying condition that does qualify you for a medical cannabis card in Illinois. We should leave this up to the doctors. If you're suffering from anxiety, book an appointment and speak to a licensed physician. We offer a 100% risk free service. This means, you get your card or your money back.
